KHS America Welcomes Tom Mensch as Brass Instrument Brand Manager
Mt. Juliet, TN, June 10, 2026… KHS America is pleased to announce the appointment of Tom Mensch as Brass Instrument Brand Manager. A seasoned trombonist, conductor, and music educator with over 30 years of experience, Mensch brings a rare combination of performance expertise, product knowledge, and educational leadership to the KHS America team.
Mensch joins KHS America from Whitehouse Independent School District in Texas, where he served as Director of Bands and Fine Arts/Communications Learning Leader from 2017 to 2025. He also currently serves as Artistic Director of the East Texas Youth Orchestra and Adjunct Trombone Professor at Stephen F. Austin State University.
A familiar name in the brass world, Mensch has performed as Principal Trombonist with the Longview Symphony Orchestra and has taken the stage in more than a dozen countries, including Japan, Russia, Finland, Guatemala, and Scotland. He is a founding member of the Rose City Brass Quintet and performs regularly across jazz, chamber, and sacred music settings.
Mensch’s connection to brass instrument development runs deep. He has served as an XO Brass Artist, contributing directly to the development of professional trombone products within the XO line.

Mensch holds a Master of Music in Trombone Performance from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Penn State University. He is an active member of the International Trombone Association, Texas Music Educators Association, and Texas Bandmasters Association.
