About Jupiter

In 1979, the Jupiter brand of wind instruments was established by KHS Musical Instruments, Co., Ltd, one of the largest musical instrument producers in the world today. KHS is Kong Hsue Sheh, which translates to “Contribution,” “School” & “Society.” As the United States subsidiary, KHS America continues this dedication to the enrichment of lives through music performance and education by providing high-quality musical instruments and services designed to support musicians, educators, and our retail partners.

OUR MISSION

Jupiter believes that music is an essential part of life for every individual and for society as a whole. We are dedicated to providing innovative and reliable instruments that help enrich lives through music.

OUR CRAFTSMANSHIP

Quality instruments are necessary to instill confidence in band students and support their creativity as playing skills progress. Jupiter instruments are designed with the help of top educators, repair technicians and professional players to offer reliable performance at every level with features and materials that exceed expectation.

The revolutionary Performance Care Warranty further demonstrates Jupiter’s support of participation in band by standing behind all student woodwind and brass models throughout a player’s participation in school music programs.

OUR BRAND STORY

Jupiter remains focused on our mission to enhance culture through music, not only through providing quality instruments, but as an advocate for music education, and participant in the music-making community.

Having collaborated closely with prominent figures within the musical community, Jupiter strives to produce instruments that provide the perfect combination of quality and value, making Jupiter the First Choice for performers and educators alike.

OUR COMMITMENT TO EDUCATION

If music teaches us one all-important lesson, it’s that we are more successful when we work together. KHS America’s Academic Alliance program was launched in 2017 to develop and strengthen the important symbiotic relationship between School Music Programs, School Music Dealers, and the Instrument Manufacturer. Open to all K-12 public and private school band programs in the United States, membership in the Academic Alliance is free and offers a wide variety of benefits intended to enhance the student experience, promote program growth and bring attention to the great work being done by music educators.
