Year 2020 is Jupiter’s 40th anniversary. Jupiter announces their Endless Pursuit of Performance initiative. Just as every player keeps practicing enhancing musical skills, Jupiter delves into product innovations to support the player’s endeavor. Since 1980, Jupiter has been creating wind instruments that give musicians the confidence to perform their very best and fully express their creativity. Today there is a full line offer in a wide variety of high-quality instrument models to serve players of all levels of expertise.

The Waveline 509 and 510 models were released (they are now known as 700W series.) Tailored for young children, this design was ergonomically design to fit comfortably in a child’s hand and it minimized the risk for developing poor posture.

The factory in Taiwan received ISO 9001 certification, becoming Taiwan’s first musical instrument company to achieve this recognition.

Due to increased demand, new manufacturing facility opens in Tianjin, China.

From brass instruments to woodwind instruments, the product lines of Jupiter became complete. In addition, instrument manufacturing moved to an expanded and improved factory in Chungli, closer to central Taiwan.

The Jupiter brand name was introduced in 1980.

K.H.S. built its first factory in Luzhou, Taipei. This factory produced harmonicas under the Swallow and Butterfly brands.

The origins of K.H.S. date back to 1930 when Mr. Jin-Chung Hsieh, Mr. Jin-Li Hsieh and their brothers established “Wan-Wu Zhu Shi Hui She” in Chi-San town, located in southern Taiwan. Wan-Wu, which means “a store that sells everything”, sold educational products including books, stationery supplies and musical instruments.
