Production of Jupiter Instruments began in 1986. Instruments that begin with the letter “S” were manufactured in the years 1986-1989. Instruments manufactured from 1990 and beyond have serial numbers beginning with the letter “J”. The letter “A” also preceded serial numbers in 1998.
